Renting a Unit

Q: How do I rent a storage unit?
A: You can rent a storage unit by calling us or using our online reservation system. Visit the Rent Now page for more details.

Q: What sizes of storage units do you offer?
A: Depending on availability, we offer a variety of unit sizes to meet your needs, ranging from 5×10 feet to 11×27 feet. You can find a full list of available unit sizes and prices on the Rent Now page.

Q: Can I rent by the day?
A: Our contracts are on a month to month basis. We do not offer daily or weekly rentals. 

Security and Access

Q: How secure is the storage facility?
A: Sunset Storage is equipped with 24/7 video surveillance and well-lit premises to ensure the safety of your belongings. 

Q: Can I access my unit at any time?
A: Yes, tenants have 24/7 access to their storage units.

Q: What do I need to bring when accessing my unit?
A: You will need to bring your own lock for your storage unit.

Q: What kind of lock do you recommend?
A: A disc (or circular) padlock is the safest option to secure your unit.

Payments and Billing

Q: What payment methods do you accept?
A: We accept all major credit and debit cards, checks, and cash. You can also set up automatic payments through our online portal.

Q: When is my rent due?
A: Your rent is due on the day of the month that you originally move in, unless you choose to prorate your rent to a different date during the move-in process. 

Q: Can I pay my bill online?
A: Yes, you can make payments, set up automatic payments, and manage your account through our secure online portal. Visit the Make a Payment page to log in or create an account. 

Policies and Restrictions

Q: What items are prohibited in the storage units?
A: Please do not store any flammable, explosive, or illicit materials inside your unit. As a rule of thumb, if it's living, it is prohibited in a storage unit.

Q: Can I store a vehicle in my unit?
A: Yes, we offer vehicle storage options. Please contact us for more details on unit sizes suitable for vehicle storage.

Q: Do you offer insurance for stored items?
A: Insurance/tenant protection can be purchased. This is not included in your monthly rent. Please contact us if you are interested in insurance/tenant protection. 

Moving Out

Q: How do I move out of my unit?
A: Please fully empty out your unit, remove your lock and shut the door of the unit completely. Promptly inform our team as soon as you move out to finalize this process. 

Q: Can I get a refund if I move out early?
A: Yes, we offer prorated refunds for early move outs.
